Senior Industrial Electrical Engineer
Location: Lakeland, FL

Are you an experienced electrical engineer looking for your next exciting challenge? We are seeking a Senior Industrial Electrical Engineer to lead complex design projects in the mining and mineral processing industry. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design industrial installations and motor systems for mining-related mineral processing plants.
  • Develop substations to supply power to plant control centers.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Standardize equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates for streamlined processes.
  • Support peer reviews, checking, and the incorporation of findings to uphold technical excellence.
  • Gather and analyze data to prepare engineering studies, calculations, and analyses.
  • Determine technical issues, propose alternative solutions, and make recommendations through official project documentation (technical queries, deviations, etc.).
  • Create final documentation and manage the customer approval process.
  • Mentor team members and review the work of direct reports, ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial electrical design.
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Proven experience in estimating project costs and writing proposals.
  • Experience in developing Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Motor Line Diagrams, lighting design, grounding systems, and lightning protection systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with an Idaho PE preferred (but not required).
  • Experience in engineering power systems within industrial environments, including substations, motor systems, and related designs.

Experience Requirements:
  • Significant experience in engineering design for industrial power systems.
  • For candidates with an owner-operator background, detailed design experience is essential.
