Manage and provide hardware (HW) and integration engineering for electro-mechanical systems.
Job Description
Provide hardware (HW) engineering for systems for product enclosures, heat transfer design of systems, kit optimization, designing of electrical circuits that minimize Space Weight And Power (SWAP)
Provide design of manufactured components
Support design reviews and improvements, design drawing packages, circuit diagrams and cable/harness designs and drawings and develop hardware changes as part of Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) implementation.
Provide support for hardware design, installation, trouble shooting, maintenance, and technical analysis as well as system, subsystem and all component repairs and board/unit level diagnosis and remediation
Develop, review, and comment on proposed engineering changes, waivers, deviations, and alterations to determine impact on performance, reliability, maintainability, availability, quality, safety, and life cycle cost.
Provide technical support to assemble, integrate, test, document, troubleshoot, install, and repair and service prototypes, Engineering Development Modules (EDMs), systems of systems, frameworks, and obsolescence support for fielded systems and test articles
Provide system installation, trouble shooting and maintenance, technical analysis, system, subsystem and all component repairs, as well as board and unit level diagnostics
Develop failure cause analysis, remediation of failures and develop plan to eliminate future failures
Develop and/or modify hardware and software components as part of approved engineering changes
Provide technical support to assemble, integrate, test, troubleshoot, resolve design issues, install, repair and maintain components and assemblies.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering
Seven (7) years of professional experience working in an engineering capacity in the design, development, production, or testing electronic/electro-mechanical and/or hydro-electronic equipment
Desired Professional Experience
Engineering experience supporting U.S. Navy providing services and support for Combat Systems that range from unit level systems such as Sensor Distribution Systems (SDS), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), AEGIS, ZUMWALT, Integrated Combat System (ICS) and any future Combat Systems to operational level Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Cyber security, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C6ISR) is highly desired.

The likely salary range for this position is $91,034 - $123,164. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
