Our client in the aerospace industry is seeking an Avionics Technician to join their team. As an Avionics Technician, you will be part of the Avionics Integration team supporting the Artemis programs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Job Title: Avionics Technician
Location: Kennedy Space Center, FL
Pay Range: $35-40/h + Benefits
Key Responsibilities
Install and test avionic components and systems to ensure reliability and compliance with design standards.
Fabricate and assemble intricate wire harnesses, cables, and electromechanical systems for space systems.
Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and modifications of avionics systems.
Collaborate with field teams on harness installation for in-field integration.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, contributing to continuous process improvement.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED; associate degree or military training preferred.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical/cable fabrication or avionics.
Due to government contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is necessary for this role.
Skilled in reading technical drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 and NASA-STD-8739
