Engage in efforts to enhance the utilization of continuous improvement strategies, examine anomalies in products, propose corrective actions, and support initiatives aimed at reducing the costs associated with product manufacturing. This involves participating in the training and mentoring of relevant team members and providing assistance on the production floor as needed.
Analyze performance issues by collecting and evaluating data, as well as applying technical understanding of the product and processes, especially in areas that lead to waste.
Aid in the development of cost projections, validate the financial aspects of projects, set up budgets, oversee design reviews, and manage the setup and start-up of new installations. Explore innovative equipment, systems, and methods to improve facility operations for smaller-scale projects.
Help ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and other regulatory standards by collaborating with colleagues in the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department, implementing Mandatory Safety Requirements (MSRs), and enhancing communication between departments.
Support the management of contractors, including conducting regular audits of their work to verify adherence to safety practices and operational protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2 years of experience, Manufacturing experience or related industry experience
Ability to use appropriate computer-based technology, program & debug programming languages & troubleshoot machine problems.
Ability to understand & design modern safety control systems.
Ability to understand electrical diagrams & some knowledge in design electrical control systems.
Ability to interpret & create technical CAD drawings & schematics.
