Pay: $25-$30/Hr Job Summary:
Responsible for the precise operation of advanced laser cutting systems, including running, programming, and maintaining tube and flatbed lasers to achieve productivity and efficiency goals. Ensures all products meet high-quality standards, adheres to safety protocols, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions:

• Operate the flatbed laser safely and effectively.
• Use appropriate lifting devices to prepare and feed material into the laser.
• Ensure products are produced cleanly, with no burrs, and meet all specifications.
• Utilize white samples to verify that products meet customer specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and process sheets accurately.
• Inspect all work before proceeding down the production line.
• Operate metal shaping machines, such as brakes and shears, for metal straightening and bending.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including workstations and communal areas.
• Support and mentor newer employees as needed.
• Present a professional image of Essex Weld Solutions and commit to the safety and well-being of all employees.
• Engage in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives, focusing on process optimization and production flow.
• Report any hazards to the Plant Manager or Supervisor immediately for corrective action.
• Adhere to Section 28 of OHSA (Canada) and support the Health & Safety Program.
• Uphold Essex Weld Solutions' Culture and Guiding Values.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Diploma in CNC or related field is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Solid understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC/Laser operation.
• Attention to detail and ability to navigate a Windows-based computer environment.
