Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Transportation Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will design, assess, and manage sophisticated transportation systems, including roads, highways, bridges, and transit networks. Collaborate with clients, fellow engineers, and project managers to deliver projects that are on time, within budget, and exceed quality standards.

What You'll Do

- Design & Analysis: Create and evaluate transportation systems using advanced engineering principles.

- Traffic Studies: Conduct comprehensive traffic volume counts, speed studies, and accident analyses to inform project designs.

- Documentation: Develop detailed design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.

- Feasibility & Cost-Benefit: Perform feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to assess project viability.

- Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.

- Quality Assurance: Review and approve engineering design documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Reporting & Presentations: Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transportation systems adhere to applicable codes, standards (AASHTO, MUTCD, FHWA), and regulations.

- Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in transportation engineering and integrate innovative solutions into projects.

What Were Looking For

- Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in transportation engineering, including traffic studies and transportation system design.

- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, or similar software for transportation engineering design.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of transportation engineering codes, standards, and regulations (AASHTO, MUTCD, FHWA).

- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data and solve intricate problems.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for effective collaboration and client interactions.

- Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Project Management: Experience with project management and delivery methods such as design-bid-build or design-build is a plus.

- Licensure: Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
