    What you'll achieve

    Overview of Job - In this position as Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer, as a vital member of our cross-functional engineering team, you will be instrumental in delivering advanced liquid cooling solutions for desktop, portable and server computer systems and peripherals Your primary responsibility will be to lead the mechanical design of liquid cooling components, ensuring the creation of innovative and highly reliable solutions.

    You will:

    Lead the mechanical design of critical components for liquid cooling solutions Establish design targets and requirements Develop and evaluate strategies and new design concepts to solve future challenges Evaluate design performance through stages of development utilizing analysis and testing Drive collaboration across diverse teams
    Compensation

    Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $158,950 - $205,700

    Job Specific Skills and Certifications

    • Advanced mechanical aptitude for interpretation of mechanical drawing specifications
    • Advanced knowledge and understanding of manufacturing-driven design issues
    • Advanced ability to read and understand complex drawings as well as 3D databases
    • Advanced understanding of appropriate technologies, vendor products and competitor's offerings
    • Advanced ability to analyze options for critical design elements and features, and
    • Determines optimum selection
    • Advanced understanding of using CaD and FEa tools
    • Advanced ability to read and understand technical data sheets

    Desirable Requirements

    Experience with liquid cooling and FEA modeling BS Bachelor's in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) Take the first step towards your dream career

    12+ years industry experience or equivalent skill; must include 8+ years in liquid cooling or fluid pressure system design for heat transfer Expertise in pressure vessel design to include structural analysis, construction methodologies, design for manufacturability and material requirements Experience predicting and validating pressure handling performance of a design Creative with strong mechanical intuition and aptitude
