25202 PURPOSE: The job consists of determining risks to product quality and developing risk preventions for printed circuit boards plus electrical and other aspects of finished products. Reports to QA Manager or QA Supervisor. JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES): - Provide problem-solving support and electrical guidance for printed circuit board manufacturing processes and teach others to do the same.
- Assist in the design, troubleshooting and calibration of product testing equipment.
- Conduct various Root Cause Analysis and Improvement activities throughout the Cleveland operations and teach other QA personnel troubleshooting and auditing techniques.
- Utilize Quality Management System tools, apply continuous improvement methodologies (6 Sigma, Lean), and work with others in a team environment.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: - Engineer I: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 0+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required.
- Assist in assessment, development, and implementation of quality control procedures for electrical systems and components.
- Conduct analysis of the manufacturing processes, systems, and components to ensure compliance with quality standards for PC boards manufacturing and final product assembly. Collaborate cross functionally as required.
- Collaborate with supervisors and senior engineers to learn and develop technical skills related to quality control.
- Engineer II: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required.
- Conduct assessment, development, and implementation of quality control procedures for electricl systems and componest.
- Conduct analysis of the manufacturing processes, systems, and components to ensure compliance with quality standards for PC boards manufacturing and final product assembly. Effective in cross functional collaboration.
- Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments.
- Engineer III: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required.
- Conduct assessment, development, and implementation of quality control procedures for electrical systems and components.
- Guide development of the manufacturing processes, systems, and components to ensure compliance with quality standards for PC boards manufacturing and final product assembly. Facilitates cross functional collaboration.
- Works autonomously most of the time. May act as lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others.
- Knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies (6Sigma, Lean), and an understanding of manufacturing processes and methods.
- Ability to apply a combination of a knowledge of quality assurance tools, business procedures, part and process measurement techniques, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to a variety of problems.
- Ability to organize, lead, and drive continuous improvement projects
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: - Knowledge of electrical test methodologies, including data capture, analysis, and calibration of test equipment.
- Experience with Printed Circuit board manufacturing processes, including Surface Mount (SMT) and power electronics.
- Experience with troubleshooting electronics and electrical equipment.
