Job Description:

PLEASE APPLY OR INQUIRE HERE:

IP RECRUITER GROUP is recruiting for the following opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a strong patent agent opportunity within a highly-regarded law firm. The responsibilities will primarily relate to drafting and globally prosecuting patents, portfolio strategy, and supporting patent opinions and related analysis (patentability, infringement, validity, freedom to operate).

Within this practice, you will be exposed to a diverse array of electrical and computer related applications (industrial control systems, consumer electronics, biomedical devices and instrumentations, analog and digital circuits, RF, WiFi, wireless telecommunications, network protocols, IEEE standards, network security and protocols, artificial intelligence (AI), web and cloud services, etc.).

This practice consistently attracts high profile clients and sophisticated, complex IP work. Your client and portfolio assignments will be dependent upon your technical expertise and experience. Notably, you will have plenty of interaction with client and firm management within a very cooperative and truly collegial environment that contributes to the overall growth of well-rounded practitioners.

Patent Agent Requirements:
  1. Must have at least 2 years of full time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm.
  2. Minimum BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics; an MS or Ph.D. would certainly be valued.
  3. Prior engineering experience would be a plus.
  4. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills suitable for substantial client interaction.
  5. USPTO bar.
  6. Strong academic credentials.

Since this practice deals with domestic and international clients, dual fluency is not required; however, such fluency in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean would certainly be of value.

Additional Notes for Candidates:

All fees are paid by client firms and companies. As a consequence of our reputation for having integrity and providing results, we often work on exclusive assignments that are not advertised.

Another important distinction is that we work directly with the decision makers (i.e. partners, managing counsels, etc.) that make the determinations regarding who will be interviewed, who will be extended an offer, etc.

You have our express commitment that all information is accepted in confidence and that no resumes are submitted without first speaking to you and obtaining your explicit permission.
