The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing, installing, testing, and maintaining the plant's Power and Motor Control Systems. This role also works closely with Automation Engineers to support the development, installation, and maintenance of Process Control Systems.

As a key member of the plant's Technical and Engineering Team, the Electrical Engineer will troubleshoot electrical system issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent solutions. This position serves as the primary liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Electrical & Power Consultants, and Electrical Contractors. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will handle the electrical design aspects of capital projects, often managing smaller projects independently and coordinating with outside engineering firms for larger ones.

The Electrical Engineer will also play a crucial role in the start-up of expansion projects, contributing to training, start-up planning, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts. Leading Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for electrical-related issues and process failures will be a key responsibility.

Position Description Responsibilities

•Learn, understand and provide oversight of Electrical Designs in the plant to ensure compliance with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) and other applicable Industry Standards or Requirements.

•Act as the primary liaison to outside resources such as Electrical OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), Electrical/Power Consultants and Engineers, and Electrical Contractors.

•Participate or lead RCAs, PHAs (Process Hazard Analyses), and Risk Analyses, providing expertise on the electrical and controls aspects of the Analyses.

•Troubleshoot process issues, identify, and develop procedures to minimize or eliminate future occurrences.

•Perform electrical cost analyses to guide Team on process and equipment optimization/upgrades.

•Establish contacts with key equipment vendors and contractors to assist in optimizing performance and assist in troubleshooting issues. Work as a contractor coordinator when managing their work.
