Job Description:

An award-winning and multi-disciplinary Architecture/Engineering firm is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead/manage exciting and complex projects within the Higher Education, Government, Science and Technology and Healthcare market sectors for their Boston, MA office.

Senior Mechancial Engineer Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage complex and large-scale projects throughout the U.S.
  • Design Mechanical Systems including: heating, cooling, heat rejection, air distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams on projects related to Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, Science & Technology, Mission Critical and Mixed-Use
  • Participate in recruiting and business development efforts across the firm
  • Assist in procurement of high-quality work; including marketing/proposal efforts and project interviews
  • Perform on-site condition surveys
  • Incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings and prepare green rating system documentation
  • Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery

Senior Mechanical Engineer Qualifications


  • Professional Degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited university is required
  • P.E. License required
  • 5 years of experience
  • LEED AP BD C is preferred
  • Familiarity with BIM
  • Thorough understanding of engineering systems and advanced engineering principles and calculations
  • Project Management and supervision experience
  • Business development capabilities
  • Knowledge in sustainable building design
