Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Engineer - Packaging/System Design:
Design and optimize components and chassis for computing systems, including cooling systems and mounting structures. Develop and improve IC packages, focusing on thermal management, electrical performance, and manufacturability. Choose materials for IC packaging based on their properties to meet performance and reliability standards. Conduct simulations to predict and optimize the performance of electrical and optical packages. Create prototypes, conduct tests, and refine designs based on results. Work with electrical engineers, semiconductor designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure compatibility of designs. Prepare design specifications, test procedures, and reports. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and implement quality assurance processes. Qualifications of the Senior Mechanical Engineer - Packaging/System Design :
10+ years of experience in advanced packaging and manufacturing. Knowledge of air and liquid cooling systems, flip chip, 2.5D and 3D packaging technologies. Experience with photonics package integration is preferred Proven track record of taking products from concept to production Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL) BS in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance Compensation for the Senior Mechanical Engineer - Packaging/System Design :
Salary Range: $140,000 - $235,000 annually Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays # LI-BR1
