About the Role

The Electrical Engineer will support the electrical design, assembly, testing, and commissioning of such equipment, and may travel to customer locations for installation or servicing.

Your Role

  • Work cross-functionally with development groups as well as within the Electrical Engineering team.
  • Coordinate engineering projects. Direct project activities, prepare schedules, coordinate projects with Marketing, R&D, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
  • Analyze, recommend, and develop design approaches required to meet Marketing, Production and cost requirements for new or improved products.
  • Perform detailed design of complex electronic circuits and systems to meet product requirements and specifications.
  • Evaluate various designs and manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness and recommended solutions. Develop design philosophies that satisfy interrelated aspects of product design.
  • Integration of electronics into other aspects of products including mechanical, electro-optical, software and user interface.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Electrical Engineering group, and cross-functionally.
  • Assist in new product transition from Engineering to Production to resolve design issues found during the pilot run and initial production run of new products
  • Initiate supplier contacts and assist purchasing in supplier evaluation and selection for tooling, fabricated parts, purchased parts and secure alternative design opportunities.
  • Participate in EE design review of complex systems and circuits to find the best option in devices, protocols and connections.
  • Document electrical systems including generating schematics, assembly drawings, procedures, timing diagrams and operational descriptions.
  • Perform experimental tests, evaluations, and simulations on electrical systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure system functionality and reliability.

Qualifications (Required)

  • BSEE (Advanced degree MSEE preferred) or equivalent and three to four (3-4) years of relevant electronic design experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering assembly drawings & work procedures
  • 2+ years' experience lab test equipment such as digital multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies, logic analyzer
  • Hands-on experience with electronic product assembly, soldering & rework
  • Experience in using PCB/Schematic software such as Eagle and Orcad
  • Experience using Wiring Harness Software
  • Experience designing harnesses and assemblies for use in ultra-high vacuum environment a plus
  • Previous experience with SOLIDWORKS Electrical a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent technical, conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills

Qualifications (Bonus to Have)

  • One (1) year of project management
  • Semiconductor manufacturing industry experience

Position Details

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $95K-$120K + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and EUV Tech's location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the respective role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors: job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
