Job Description:

MECHANICAL ENGINEER (MEP) (must be a P.E.)

Do you want to use your training, education, and experience in an engaging and meaningful way?

If so, you may be interested in working as a Mechanical Engineer Expert for Robson Forensic, a longstanding national forensic expert firm with an excellent reputation in the legal and scientific community

Robson Forensic seeks a licensed Mechanical Engineer (MEP) to expand our existing building systems practice in the northeast. This individual will apply their expertise in mechanical building systems and industrial process systems to investigate injuries and system performance claims.

Our MEP practice group investigates a broad range of insurance claims and disputes involving mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Every project is unique, but many involve a site inspection, the review of case documents, and technical analysis to develop an opinion regarding how and why particular events occurred. Most cases culminate with a written report, but some require deposition or courtroom testimony.

No prior forensic experience is required. Robson Forensic provides training, resources, and ongoing support to empower experts to successfully apply their technical expertise to forensic casework. Typical cases include system bench-marking disputes, project delays, cost overruns, environmental contamination, or property damage related to the release of water or other chemicals. Personal injury casework varies, but often includes scalding injuries, carbon monoxide poisonings, or exposures to hazardous materials.

We are looking for an individual with an inquisitive mind who is driven to master a new application of their craft. Expert work is interesting, intense, challenging, and rewarding.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  • P.E. license
