COMMUNICATION REGARDING TEST INFORMATION WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL & TEXT PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORKThis position will assist more senior Electrical Engineers in ensuring the Outage Management System (OMS) is functioning at an optimal level by performing maintenance, updates, and patches. Create, maintain, and document interfaces between the OMS servers and SCADA servers, as well as troubleshoot additional external interfaces such as AVL, GIS, SCADA, CCB, API, etc. under the direction of a supervising engineer. Create, maintain and document electronic forms, workflows, databases, and display screens utilized by LUS dispatchers and SCADA personnel within the OMS software. Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and work with vendors to correct issues with the OMS system as they arise.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONSPossession of the Engineer Intern certification by examination, in the State of Louisiana. Knowledge of electric utilities and a working knowledge of computer control systems, cyber security, GIS mapping software, and electrical distribution networks.
SPECIAL NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION - Rating of education and experience through a structured interview.
