Forvia Hellais seeking its next great Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The primaryfunction of this role is to take ownership of the mechanical engineering anddesign of electronics products. This key individual will utilize thereknowledge of plastics and light metals help create our body controls basedproducts.

Daily Responsibilities

• Participate in an interdisciplinary development team, you will be involved in mechanical designs for Body Product Center products such as digital key, closures, or seat modules
• Take on the responsibility to create 3D models, drawings and prototypes in collaboration with other domains such as hardware , systems and manufacturing internally and external customers and suppliers
• Develop innovative technology concepts, taking into account product and process requirements, cost targets, sustainability aspects, and benchmarking activities
• Perform design reviews with customer and internal management
• Collaborate closely with series development, our technology department, central early development, and external partners such as suppliers
• Create DFMEA, review with internal and external stake holders

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate or Bachelors degree focused on mechatronics or mechanical engineering or similar, preferably with knowledge in the field of electronics.
• Proficient and hands on in CAD (Catia V5), NX or similar with experienced in manufacturing concepts (eg. Press-fitting, PCB manufacturing, SMT)
• Knowledge in GD&T and Tolerance Stacks
• Design experience in plastics, aluminum, sheet metal
• Good knowledge of manufacturing and material technologies
• 3+ years professional experience ideally in the early development environment
