WHAT YOU'LL DO A Mechanical Engineer with Greenpower Motor Company is responsible for the development and modification of vehicle components from concept to production. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have mechanical design responsibilities and provide engineering to a full suite of medium to heavy duty EV vehicles. In this position you will work with a team to provide input and solution to address issues with the current fleet and develop key brand differentiators. This position requires high level creative thinking, conceptualization, implementation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment. Perform design engineering and release of vehicle components Develop design models and engineering drawings for new vehicle products and components. Leverage team resources to complete vehicle design. Modify vehicle design to customer requirements. Prepare and modify travelers, BOMs, work instructions, process specifications and other documentation as required Simulate vehicle and component behavior under different profiles Develop and perform vehicle testing procedures Work cross functionally with Electrical Engineers, Project managers, Procurement, and Production to develop a complete integrated product Preform other job-related tasks Requirements WHAT YOU'LL NEED Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline A thorough understanding of technical concepts of federal safety standards and laws 2+ years working with CAD experience exclusively with Solidworks 2+ years practical experience using advance surfacing modeling in any CAD program Experience with product development from concept to validation and deployment A flexible mentality and comfortability working in high demand / fast-paced environments Good organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to learn processes quickly, adapt to process changes and implement changes. Constantly analyzing and implementing procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiencies. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites, G Suites, and other related software programs PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 25 lbs. WORKING ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Salary Description $50,000 - $60,000
