Job Description:

senior Static equipment Engineer Research, design, review, inspect and supervise the manufacturing, assembly, and installation work of static equipment for petrochemical or energy projects. Your scope of responsibility Work with a multi-disciplined team to organize, initiate and develop the work execution of Capital Projects. Work with mechanical contractors to follow through with completion of Capital Expenditure Projects on plant site. Confer with engineers, contractors, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects. Direct or coordinate engineering, fabrication, testing activities and documentation to ensure compliance with standard practice, specification, national codes, or customer requirements. Review of technical specification and design documents including calculation supplied by contractors. Check the material selection, design, and fabrication of equipment in compliance with applicable codes e.g., API 572, 575 and 620, DIN EN 13445, ASME VIII Div. I&II, ASME B31.1, B31.3, AD2000 etc. Detailed familiarity with these codes is expected. Review the manufacturing concept and fabrication process and evaluate the feasibility also with respect to quality control and assurance from a client perspective, scheduling and optimization. Participate in pre inspection and final testing of static equipment in manufacturer workshop. Assist in root cause failure analysis and develop repair concept / procedure to remedy deficiencies. Prepare various reports as needed and provide input to time schedule Follow up overall fabrication status about progress achievements and critical paths as applicable. Control and monitoring of key performance figures to ensure schedule milestones. Initiate and moderate technical discipline meetings with contractors and participate in regular meetings related to QA/QC, HSE, progress and schedule. Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks. Provide input to mechanical completion monitoring system to ensure completeness of individual manufacturing and construction steps. Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products and improvements. Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget. Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation for the company. Follow all relevant company policies and procedures. Assists other departments and other administrative personnel as necessary. Perform other tasks as assigned. What you bring to OCI Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations none Education, Experience, and/or Training Bachelor of Science degree (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering) is required. Minimum of 10 years, experience of EPC of mega projects and engineering experience in the industry is required. Solid experience in Ammonia and/or Methanol is required. In-depth understanding of static & utility systems; experience with coatings used in industrial applications. Knowledgeable in the establishment and application of engineering management systems, processes, and tools Excellent technical and practical skills and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to OCI. Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant discipline, including experience in engineering management positions and project management. A thorough understanding of industrial environment and demonstrable leadership experience and managing a team across multi-disciplinary and large-scale projects. Experience with heavy industrial process projects; experience budgeting and planning projects. Experience in best chemical plant practices in safety, health, and environmental areas for engineering and construction. Well-rounded experience in various engineering disciplines. Ability to read, develop, and interpret engineering, construction and other technical specs, drawings, schematics, plans, and similar documents; ability to read and understand complex government regulations and translate/incorporate these requirements into terminal construction, engineering, and maintenance plans. Experience working with Federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Ability to translate technical plans into easy-to-understand laymen's terms and communicate such translations in clear terminology. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, MS Project, various email and internet programs and applications; computer-based design experience preferred. Provide attention to detail and ability to produce results. Ability to interact with team members and meet strict deadlines. Ability to read and produce technical reports and diagrams of the manufacturing process. Security Clearance Requirements Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) Software Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel required. Experience with SAP required. Physical Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to work with a moderate noise level in the work environment is required. Ability to climb straight ladders. Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Physical requirements - bending, kneeling, lifting to 50lbs. Confined space entry may be required. Wearing a respirator when/where required to perform inspections/job duties. Industrial chemical plant environment. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm May work additional hours and days, including weekends and holidays as required.
