What You'll Contribute to OHM Advisors The Transportation Project Engineer works independently or as a member of a design team performing road design tasks for Local, County, and ODOT projects out of the Akron or Cleveland office. This individual works directly for the Project Manager. As a trusted member of OHM Advisors' Transportation Group, you will join a growing, mission-driven team of innovative thinkers who collaborate daily, using our combined gifts and talents to continually advance the communities we serve. Your Responsibilities Participate in the collection and analysis of data for roadway/highway and infrastructure projects. Prepare construction plans and documents. Perform design calculations. Develop and prepare design specifications. Perform project quantity estimates and construction cost estimating. Organize scheduling of specific assigned tasks and assignments. Understanding OHM services and how they relate to the client's organization and needs. Requirements: Education, Experience & Licensure: Must be registered as a Professional Engineer in Ohio. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required with a focus on Transportation. Have 5+ years' experience in the development of roadway/highway design plans. Technical Skills: Understanding of ODOT design criteria, standards, specification, and plan preparation. Experience working in OpenRoads Design and/or Civil 3D. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, and enjoy working in a team environment.
