Encompasses tasks related to routine and general maintenance of all facilities through execution of basic maintenance and repair, which may include light carpentry work, installation of drywall, light masonry, painting, locksmithing, appliance maintenance, light welding, plumbing and/or pest control. Job Duties: Inspects, maintains, and repairs specialized equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards. Utilizes specialized equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery, equipment and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation. Performs routine and non-routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness. Troubleshoots, escalates and documents issues according to established policies and procedures. All qualified applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to problem solve and troubleshoot building systems utilizing the aforementioned basic skills. Other duties may include: Perform routine visual inspections of facility mechanical and utility systems. Performs corrective maintenance on plumbing fixtures and piping. Repair or replace various electrical components as required. Assist in any other general maintenance as assigned by M & O supervisor. Perform various other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of facility mechanical and utility systems. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma Basic knowledge of hand and power tool use Trades experience Preferred Qualifications: Special consideration will be given to individuals who display knowledge and competency in the operation and maintenance of commercial steam plants Preference will be given to those with previous experience in trades labor and/or licensing and HVAC systems, including BAS systems.
