A Mechanical Engineer 1 serves as a supportive role to other engineers. A level 1 engineer is responsible for providing assistance with monitoring and maintaining a functional campus Building Automation System (BAS) and ensuring the efficient operation of the equipment it serves. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, air handlers, fans, pumps, boilers, motors, and VFDs.
Maintain SystemsAssist with monitoring and coordinating repairs, installation, commissioning, and servicing of facility HVAC control systems. Provide technical and field support to engineering technicians as they fulfill their work responsibilities.
Assess System PerformanceAssist with identifying equipment deficiencies and implementing corrective measures for maintaining efficient and effective operation of HVAC systems.
Analyze Data / Compile ReportsAssist with data acquisition, report generation, and energy performance analysis for all facility buildings.
Manage ProjectsProvide assistance in monitoring and managing HVAC and energy related projects.

EducationCollege Degree: Electrical Engineering (Required), College Degree: Mechanical Engineering (Required)
Work Experience1+ years in HVAC systems, operations, and controls
Physical Requirements and SkillsAble to walk up and down stairs as needed, Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Communication, Electronic Equipment, Endure warm working conditions, General Maintenance, Ladders, Operate standard office equipment, Physical stamina to carry tools and perform routine maintenance tasks, Troubleshooting
