JOB SUMMARY:

G.E.O. Heat Exchangers is looking for a Mechanical Engineer experienced in the design of ASME Sec. VIII Div 1 Heat Exchangers and Pressure Vessels.

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Responsible for the knowledge and application of ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1 Code and TEMA Recommendations.

- Assess customer-specific design specifications and apply them throughout the design process.

- Provide detailed mechanical calculations that will be used for drafting and fabrication.

- Please let customers know about technical issues and/or possible concerns.

- Provide a Bill of Materials with customer-specific material and testing notes.

- Review customer purchase orders for accuracy regarding scope of work



- Working knowledge and understanding of ASME Sec. VIII Div.1 Code, TEMA Recommendations, and API 660.- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.- Ability to create 2D AutoCAD Drawings. A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design for heat exchangers and pressure vessel manufacturing is preferred.- Familiarity with various construction materials covered in ASME Sec. 2.

SKILLS:- Ability to interface with customers and demonstrate exceptional communication skills.- Ability to react promptly and efficiently to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through problem-solving capabilities.- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.- Ability to elicit cooperation from various sources, including team members, other departments, and customers.- Strong written and verbal skills.- Knowledge and understanding of the fabrication process.- Ability to work independently after proper training and manage time efficiently.- Review customer-supplied specifications, drawings, and equipment documentation.- Skilled in trigonometry and geometry.

SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:- Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word is required- Proficiency in Heat Exchanger design software (RCS, CodeCalc, PV Elite)- Knowledge of AutoCAD- Knowledge of Solid works
