Job Description:

Aramco energizes the world economy.

Aramco occupies a unique position in the global energy industry. We are the world's largest producer of hydrocarbons (oil and gas), with the lowest upstream carbon intensity of any major producer.

With our significant investment in technology and infrastructure, we strive to maximize the value of the energy we produce for the world along with a commitment to enhance Aramco's value to society.

Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with offices around the world, we combine market discipline with a generations' spanning view of the future, born of our nine decades experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom's vast hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to a vast number of communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply.

We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as amongst the top five global companies by market capitalization.

We are seeking an experienced Delayed Coker/Visbreaker Process Engineering Specialist to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence Team within our Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD).

GMSD's technical team provides high-quality, multi-disciplinary support to GM operating facilities (Refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and globally.

The primary role is to provide in-depth process engineering and operations expertise to monitor, optimize, and drive performance improvement programs for refineries' delayed Coker and visbreaker, including both remote and on-site technical advisory support, benchmarking, and technology knowledge management

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
  • Conduct comprehensive performance reviews of existing delayed coker/visbreaker facilities, analyzing KPIs related to operability, profitability, reliability, and process safety. Develop and present quarterly benchmarking reports with actionable improvement recommendations.
  • Lead benchmarking and best practices exchange workshops among Global Manufacturing facilities (wholly-owned and affiliates), facilitating knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in delayed coker/visbreaker technologies.
  • Deliver on-demand remote and field technical advisory support, including troubleshooting, optimization, debottlenecking, revamp, and upgrade activities. Provide detailed service reports for each support activity.
  • Drive performance improvement programs that enhance process safety, optimize manufacturing costs, and increase plant reliability for delayed coker/visbreaker units.
  • Develop and implement best practices and standards for delayed coker/visbreaker engineering and maintenance, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide expert technical support to project teams and contractors for delayed coker/visbreaker engineering and procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (process, mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical) to ensure optimal performance and integration of delayed coker/visbreaker equipment.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of delayed coker/visbreaker equipment to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovations for delayed coker/visbreaker improvement and optimization.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation and reports for delayed coker/visbreaker engineering and operation.
  • Participate in business plan development and coordinate with stakeholders for capital investments in delayed coker/visbreaker facilities.
  • Facilitate technical knowledge exchange workshops with delayed coker/visbreaker process technology licensors and Global Manufacturing facilities.
  • Participate in incident investigation activities concerning delayed coker/visbreaker process technologies as required by operating facilities.

Minimum Job Requirements

As a successful candidate you will hold a:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience across the refinery and/or petrochemical industry, with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in delayed coker/visbreaker specialty.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize delayed coker/visbreaker operations, with specific examples of performance improvements achieved.
