You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.You'll also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinating work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will successfully deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products for building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems. Responsibilities may include but are not limited toResponsibilities may include but are not limited to: Designing process/facility systems including process cooling/heating systems, exhaust systems, waste streams, hydronic systems, pollution control, mechanical/process wet and dry piping systems (all systems). Assisting in the engineering producing engineering drawings for installation of process equipment and systems according to client standards and consulting associated with the construction of industrial production facilities, semiconductor tool installations, and Process and Mechanical Piping system design related to facility engineering Performing field inspections of existing systems, on-site field walks and design verification Technical writing, including memos to adequately update team members on new designs, and technologies that embrace safety and process improvement Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. EIT or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire This position requires someone to be able to be on-site every day if necessary. This means that you must live within a commutable distance to the client site in Boise, ID. We consider this within 50 miles but you should only apply to this role if you feel comfortable with this requirement. Excellent communication and problem solving skills Ideally, you'll also have: Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office with fluency in design drawings, word processing, excel spreadsheets, etc. Working knowledge of Revit software preferred Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
