Job Description How does it feel to work on a team driven to make a big impact? Empowering. BAE Systems is seeking a Mechanical Facility Engineer to support out of our York, Pennsylvania facility. As a Mechanical Facility Engineer, your duties will include: + Project management for all disciplines of contracted construction projects (i.e. demolition, electrical, mechanical, structural, carpentry, painting, floor coverings, furniture, etc.); + Overseeing as the main point of contact / Project Manager a variety of subcontractors and contractors, reviewing requested work and specifying requirements, writing statements of work, writing and submitting purchase requisitions through Oracle based software, inspecting work and approving payments. This includes general construction, facility infrastructure and other services as required; + Project management of Architectural and Engineering firms doing project engineering work; + Supporting Safety and Environmental objectives, including following policies, conducting area audits, alleviating issues, serving on various committees/teams, supporting risk reduction reviews/actions and sustainability improvement projects; + Financial responsibilities: + Assuring expenses are applied to the correct Cost Center and Account assignments; + Completing projects within schedule/budget constraints; + Assisting in the development of the annual Facilities budget for their work efforts. + Assisting with reviewing documentation associated with all levels of complexity projects to include bids, statements of work, and project authorizations; + Coordinating and overseeing the completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle for facilities-related construction projects; + Proactively maintaining a safe work environment and promoting a culture of safety, quality, schedule and cost; + Performing multiple additional duties and other duties as assigned by the department manager. Required Education, Experience, & Skills + Typically requires a Bachelor s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline and two (2) years of related facilities project experience, or the overall equivalent combination of education and experience. + Experience working in a manufacturing environment; + Effective communication skills, written and verbal; + Ability to work well in a team environment; + Able to liaison, guide, and collaborate with others; + Solid problem solving and analytical abilities; + May consider candidates who do not meet all the above requirements for a more junior role. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills + Defense manufacturing environment experience; + Experience with AutoCAD software; + Experience with manufacturing database software such as Oracle; + Master's degree in relevant technical discipline and two (2) plus years of related experience. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $68700 - $116800 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
