Position Summary We are seeking a highly qualified and entrepreneurial engineer with a passion for developing advanced technologies and translating them into real-world applications. Triton's diverse set of projects will give you experience across the engineering spectrum and allow you to shine in a fast-paced environment. Platforms include military force sustainment systems, medical products, water purification, V-22 Osprey vertical takeoff aircraft bearings, fiber optic connectors, energy harvesting, advanced refrigeration, communication systems, hearing protection, acoustics, and subsea systems. Responsibilities Self-starter with the ability to recognize and creatively solve complex problems Design and prototyping of cutting-edge mechanical systems including CAD Performing experiments in an independent & inventive manner Documenting project progress Desired Qualifications Experience designing sheet metal parts for enclosures Experience designing plastic parts, both prototype and production (injection molding) Experience developing high-temperature systems for commercial or industrial use Experience with basic electrical control systems is a plus Model building experience is desirable Adaptability: broad interest in science and technology with a willingness and interest in expanding into new fields and learning new techniques and skills Excellent writing skills Solid understanding of numerical modeling, design of experiments, and prototype fabrication methods Experience conducting technology assessments and analysis of alternatives Proficient with MS Office Familiar with SolidWorks Education/Experience BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field. Advanced degree is a plus. 0-3 years experience working in product design and prototype fabrication and testing is desired.
