Amentum is actively seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, VA. The selected candidate will perform a variety of engineering assignments in support of Naval Station Norfolk's Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Code 286 with test, installation, operation, and maintenance of electric/electronic equipment and systems. Essential Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting with the installation, modification, repair, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair of sonar systems and subsystems. Systems include: AN/SQR-19 and MFTA Towed Array Systems AN/SQQ-28 Sonobuoy Receiving Systems and AN/SQQ-89 On-Board Training (OBT) systems and subsystems Provide technical support for urgent mission degrading CASREPs or other system and component problems Provide technical support for assessments and inspections such as TMIs, TSRAs, INSURVs, and Assist Ship's Force with obtaining supply and repair parts information as required Assist with technical research and resolution recommendations Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering Proficient in Microsoft Office, TAAS, and other programs necessary for report filing Good communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs Position may require travel Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret US government clearance.
