We are seeking a professional Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings & Facilities division out of our Philadelphia, PA location. STV specializes in the planning, designing and development of engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities. Our Engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. Responsibilities: You will have the opportunity to: Apply client and departmental design guidelines and/or drafting standards in daily work assignments with guidance from senior staff Ensure that layer names, line types, text sizes, and drawing arrangements are in accordance with standards as set forth on the Project Lead projects from start to finish Manage budget and schedule for the project's resources and deliverables Participate in or lead squad check drawing package reviews Plan own daily work and the work of other team members Be able to read, interpret, and check vendor drawings and vendor catalogs Travel independently to and conduct site surveys to document electrical, instrumentation, and controls at existing client sites and facilities ( 5% of time) Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering At least 11 years of relevant experience Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred Working knowledge of building and energy codes Working knowledge of industry standards: UL, API, NFPA, IEEE, IES, Energy Codes (ASHRAE), etc. Understanding of lighting and lighting control systems design Understanding of power system studies using EasyPower, SKM or ETAP Understanding of specifying, designing installations, & protective relay settings for low and medium voltage electrical equipment (motors, transformers, switchgear, MCC, VFDs) Excellent interpersonal relationship skills Good verbal and written communication skills in English
