Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do: Gannet Fleming TranSystems is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Fife, Washington. We are looking for someone with at least two-years experience. Primary Responsibilities: Design innovative and efficient plumbing and HVAC systems for new and existing buildings Size, coordinate, and specify HVAC equipment and plumbing fixtures and equipment Calculate and analyze loads to ensure efficiency and maximize sustainability Model/Draft in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines Maintain working knowledge of codes and regulations Prepare documentation for permit applications Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide construction support to contractors Perform site visits and write field reports Troubleshoot design and construction challenges Take ownership of complete design on small projects with responsibilities increasing over time Qualifications What you bring to our firm: Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering discipline At least 2 years engineering design experience in plumbing and/or HVAC Understanding of the A/E/C industry Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP Ability to work collaboratively with a team Excellent attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Authorization to work in the United States (required) Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members. This compensation range is specific to the State of California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; internal peer equity; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Gannett Fleming TranSystems, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000 - $101,000 annually.
