RightWorks is excited to be partnered with a global architecture company in their search for a Senior Mechanical Engineer on behalf of their major multi-billion dollar project in northeast Austin!

Our client has been in business for over 40 years, and has provide architecture engineering and design services to over 8,000 projects globally across different markets such as aviation and transportation, healthcare, industrial and sporting facilities. They have also been the recipient of major design awards such as Red Dot, IDEA, and iF Design Award!

Their need for this Senior Engineer surrounds a $17bil, 15+ year project to build America's largest semi-conductor manufacturing facility. The right Engineer will be organized, collaborative, and forward thinking! You will be responsible for providing, revising and extending HVAC systems for both new construction and renovation in some cases as needed. You will develop construction drawings and specifications which address the installation, integration, interconnection and control of HVAC components. More details below.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

  • 15+ years of mechanical engineering (HVAC/plumbing systems)
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and BlueBeam
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Licensed PE (TX) required
  • You will provide or revise HVAC systems for new construction and or renovation of industrial structures
  • You will develop construction drawings and specifications which address the installation, integration, interconnection and control of HVAC components within standard building codes
  • You will lead the project scope, HVAC budget, and oversee necessary constraints / design as project manager
  • Lead the design of components and sub-systems for operation in ultra-high vacuum and precision mechanical components and subsystems
  • Develop feasibility studies and project cost estimates
  • Formulate and lead design of HVAC systems including duct, piping, and plumbing
  • Create engineering documents using computer aided design (CAD) technology utilizing Autodesk (Revit and AutoCAD) software
  • Prepare project file updates, transmittals, letters, reports, requests for reproduction services
