Job Details Job Location: AAON Tulsa - Tulsa, OK Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $71,622.00 - $87,538.00 Salary Job Shift: Day Job Category: Engineering Description Job Summary: Design, develop, and review testing of mechanical systems and components for various types of products in the HVAC market under the guidance of more experienced engineers and/or Management. Essential Responsibilities/Activities: Uses computer software to design refrigeration systems. Selects refrigeration components to meet product requirements and ratings. Evaluates new products through testing and meetings with potential vendors. Develops and reviews test plans to ensure the product meets the design requirements. Analyzes test data to determine the product meets DOE, ASHRAE, and AHRI requirements. Confers with more experienced engineers and/or engineering management to complete assigned projects. Provides complete bill of material by defining when, where, and why parts are used. Reads and reviews electrical diagrams. Maintains and builds professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, or participating in professional societies. Travels, when necessary, for third party testing or product review at field test sites. Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: Degree(s): ABET Accredited Engineering Degree License(s): None Certification(s): None Four-year ABET accredited degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree in Applied Sciences. 1-2 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry. Essential Mental Functions: Communicates effectively in written and spoken form. Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities. Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills. Works effectively in a team environment. Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. Essential Physical Functions: Lift up to 50lbs. Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours. Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
