Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with 3+ years if experience in support of one of are large federal clients in Norfolk, VA. Their day-to-day will include and not limited to:

Assist senior personnel with designing, documenting, testing, field operations, and maintaining electrical installations of electronic circuits, components, and integrated systems.
Engage in researching and analyzing customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess the feasibility of designs or applications, and to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, as well as the operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
Assess operational systems and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions and address production risks related to part obsolescence.

Compensation: $65k to $85k per year annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics or related scientific discipline.
3+ years of professional engineering design experience in one of the following areas:
Printed Circuit Board (PCB)
Interface protocols (I/O)
Digital design using state-of-the art microprocessors; Analog, power and/or Radio Frequency (RF) design.
Experience with C/C++/C# to include basic low level firmware design and/or higher level GUI based interface simulator design.
Active DoD Security Clearance
DoD experience (Navy Preferred)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in Allegro Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer, Operational-Requirement Computer-Aided Design (ORCAD), MatLab/Simulink
