Description Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Alamo, TN, Location. Your Responsibilities: Perform various engineering functions, including technical analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and service. Work from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other relevant information. Prepare specifications and related documents per requirements, established formats, and general instructions. Review and analyze engineering data, documents, and reports. Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, recommending revisions as necessary. Investigate technical problems and establish procedures and corrective actions to prevent recurrences. Allocate approximately 40% of the time to customer-focused activities and commercial orders, 30% to product care, and 30% to operational troubleshooting and field support. Assist other engineers in preparing specifications, selecting materials and designs, drafting contract proposals, and preparing licensing and safety documents. Obtain required approvals. Develop 2-D and 3-D models of components and assemblies for prototypes, production, and retrofit builds using advanced CAD software (AutoCAD and CREO Parametric). Learn and apply basic numerical tolerance calculations and stack-up analysis. Your Background: Bachelor's degree in electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical engineering or a related field, with 3 to 7 years of experience. Alternatively, a unique combination of education, experience, and/or demonstrated accomplishments. Experience with Pro-E or any 3D CAD modeling software is highly desired but not required. Experience with Windchill data management or any PLM software is highly desired but not required. Preferably, some experience designing or developing electromechanical products, mainly transformer components, is highly desired but not required.
