We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will prepare HVAC and/or plumbing construction drawings, details, and schedules. Read and interpret HVAC and/or plumbing plans and specs. Provide information to our estimators relative to the bid packages. Interacts with customers in order to understand their building usage and internal processes in order to build a system that meets their needs. Documentation of systems design in Revit. Engineering analysis work, including load calculations, equipment, pipe/duct sizing, etc. Building BIM/3D models and coordination of the models with both internal and external team members. Must be self-directed, highly motivated, and organized with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR: Associate or bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. 4 or more years of experience in the commercial construction engineering field, preferably in the HVAC and/or plumbing fields. Knowledge of local industry codes. Experience with BIM process, including software, document exchange and project coordination. Experience with Revit. Working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems is preferred. Excellent project management, interpersonal communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to operate efficiently both independently and as part of a team with minimal direction from manager. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Strong computer knowledge including experience with AutoCad and MS Office suite is required.
