Mechanical Engineer Opportunity! Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing HVAC equipment using AutoCAD, creating post-approval amendment drawings, performing load calculations, and documenting existing site conditions. This role also involves reviewing contractor submittals, evaluating building energy performance, and conducting site surveys. Responsibilities + Design HVAC equipment utilizing AutoCAD. + Create post-approval amendment drawings. + Perform load calculations (Carrier - HAP preferred, TRANE TRACE acceptable). + Upload drawings to DOB now. + Conduct site surveys and document existing conditions. + Review contractor submittals and shop drawings. + Evaluate building energy performance through on-site field measurements and energy analysis methods. + Calculate cooling and heating loads, size ducts, select equipment, write specifications, and estimate costs. Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical markups. + 3-5 years of mechanical design experience. + HVAC design experience within commercial interior fit-outs and outpatient medical facilities. + Mechanical engineering and HVAC engineering expertise. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Revit is a plus. + Project management experience is a plus. + Professional Engineer certification is a plus.
