About Our Client

A 40-year-old, family-owned leader in construction management, specializing in public works, higher education, federal buildings, healthcare, and embassy projects. With nationwide expansion, they are hiring a Mechanical Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a 2-year federal project in Fort Lauderdale. Federal project experience is required.

Job Description

  • Act as the field quality assurance inspector for MEP/HVAC systems on federal projects.
  • Oversee the commissioning process to ensure system performance meets design standards.
  • Collaborate with the Commissioning Agent (CxA) for effective project oversight.
  • Provide technical support as needed, particularly for federal compliance requirements.
  • Participate in meetings throughout the commissioning process to ensure project success.

The Successful Applicant

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer with 7+ years of specialized experience, including federal project experience.
  • Engineering degree from an accredited institution (advanced degrees preferred).
  • Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance (current clearance is a plus).
  • Experience with GSA Courthouse or similar federal MEP commissioning projects.
  • Industry certifications such as ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard .
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with digital tools for documentation and communication.
