Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Location: Hybrid (1-2 days / week on-site)
Salary: $150k-$200k
Requirements: 8+ years as an Electrical Engineer + PE + Mission Critical Experience

This is a full time/permanent position with a well established nationwide Engineering/Architecture firm.

Due to consistent growth, they are currently hiring for a Senior Electrical Engineer. This person will be responsible for the design and technical systems of large / complex projects from schematics through construction.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Develop system concepts and manage documentation from schematics to construction administration within the discipline.
  • Regularly coordinate with the Supervisor on project development and performance.
  • Possess proficient knowledge in key design areas, including: Power Distribution / Lighting and Controls / Fire Alarm / Specification writing and editing / Energy conservation and sustainability/report technical writing
  • Act as Project Discipline Team Leader on large, complex projects when assigned.
  • Direct and oversee project team members within the discipline, ensuring compliance with project budget
  • Prepare and monitor project status reports.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Engineering Discipline Leader to prepare project man-hour estimates.
  • Conduct and document required code research for projects.
  • Contribute to the development of the project cost model and design accordingly.
  • Maintain the Electrical Basis of Design Journal throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform material and product research as needed for project development.
  • Attend project meetings as necessary.

What You Need for this Position
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar Electrical engineering position
  • PE (Professional Engineer)
  • In depth mission critical experience
  • Must be located in any of the following areas: Addison TX, Boston MA, Chicago IL, Denver CO, Los Angeles CA, Royal Oak MI, Sacramento CA, San Diego CA, San Francisco CA
  • LEED Accredited preferred
  • Experience in short circuit and selective coordination calculation. Utilization of EDSA, SKM, or other analytical modeling software is a plus
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
