About the Role:

• As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing gas distribution engineering projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure the safe and reliable operation of gas distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering Design and Analysis:
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs for mechanical and structural components.
  • Conduct engineering analyses to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop construction drawings and specifications.
• Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as permitting agencies and contractors.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Utilize industry-standard software, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and ArcGIS.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the gas utility industry.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation).
• Experience with work management software (STORMS, Maximo) is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
