Your Responsibilities: Perform transient simulation and simulation-based design of electrical motors, generators, exciters and controls utilizing various engineering tools. Develop design information for use in reports, specifications and drawings. Direct support personnel in product design, analysis, fabrication, and testing. Vector control and tuning for induction motors and drives. Develop Direct and Quadrature circuit development and analysis of electric motors (including canned motors such as pump motors, ESP's, SPU's plus linear induction motors), generators, and exciters. Development of novel circuits and simulation for conducting water issues in water cooled motors and generators. Power system circuit analysis. Assess new and existing equipment to optimize design efficiency, safety, quality and cost effectiveness. Provides engineering design, maintenance support and training for new product and equipment. Capable of leading engineering teams through moderately complex technical issues. Actively supports development of engineering planning for development of new designs and redesign efforts. Performs engineering assignments in a timely manner under minimal guidance of a more senior engineer. Plans, coordinates, and executes, with guidance, a variety of engineering activities including documentation, reporting, publishing, and making technical or other presentations. Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies and design reviews with minimal guidance. Capable of coordinating multiple project responsibilities. Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office Suite.
