Summary: The instrumentation and electrical project engineer role supports the injection equipment program by managing the injection equipment design. This includes designing injection equipment to ensure operability, reliability, supply and cost effectiveness. Receives functional guidance from the Equipment Design Manager. Role is not limited to the above listed responsibilities and may include other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:- Promotes and ensures safety of manufacture and operation of injection equipment
- Provides engineering support for injection equipment program including training and supporting the Field Service Representatives to ensure reliable injection for customers
- Ensures injection equipment complies with customer and all local and national regulatory requirements and standards including but not limited to UL, OSHA, ATEX and CSA
- Ensures all fabricated and refurbished skids are functioning properly and have proper certifications prior to shipment to customer sites
- Is responsible for creating and maintaining injection equipment procedures, technical documentation, and new equipment prove-outs
- Assists in managing the injection equipment capital spend
- Provides injection equipment training to new hires, other LSPI employees, customers and others
- Manages equipment design control and equipment MOC processes and projects
Skills & Competencies:- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Three or more years of related work experience including PLC programming
- Willingness to travel to skid fabricators, material suppliers, other LSPI business offices and injection sites as necessary (estimated 5-15% travel)
Education & Experience:- Experience in Programming and maintaining ladder logic systems (TIA Portal preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of CSA C22.2 and NFPA 70 & 70E
- Electrical and Control Systems design and troubleshooting experience
- Registered Professional Engineer or EIT Certification
- Demonstrated operational or process engineering experience
