Do you have experience with commercial or DoD fuel projects and technical specifications? Would you like the opportunity to travel throughout the continental US and internationally? WSP, a leader in the federal fuels industry, is seeking a Fuels Engineer to join our team. The qualified candidate must have a technical background with working knowledge of Fueling System Repairs, API 653 Tank Repairs, Hydrant System Repairs, and the ability to effectively present technical information to stakeholders. This individual will work in our Kennesaw, GA office and will work under the mentorship and guidance of a Program Manager. This individual will have the opportunity to travel in the US and internationally to project specific locations. Approximately 10% travel. The successful candidate will work in a team with other Fuels professionals located in multiple time zones. Projects typically involve team members from varied backgrounds, native languages, and cultures. Effective communication, cooperation, and flexibility are essential for success. Your Impact Assist project teams with submittals preparation and technical support to achieve as-sold requirements for scope, schedule, budget, and compliance with project safety and quality requirements. Provide technical assistance such as interpreting specifications and applying technical standards to project-specific applications. Assist with client and internal project reports to ensure projects are on schedule, on budget, performed safely, and comply with quality requirements. Assist with the submittal process to complete all priority submittals. Assist the project manager with maintaining up-to-date records, including correspondence, design direction, progress submittals, schedules, meeting documents, shop drawing review, test reports, as-built records, and other documents necessary to document engineering activities. Ensure all project documents are stored on the designated shared drive and not on personal computers. Understand and implement document management and storage procedures for each project, as per policy. Coordinate the preparation of required interim and final deliverables for projects. Perform project related field tasks, attend key meetings, coordinate and oversee subcontractors, provide project related field documentation, and perform a variety of technical activities from project start to completion. Will travel to project sites in the US and internationally. Approximately 10% overnight travel. Who You Are Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline Design experience (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline. Engineer in Training Certification. Demonstrated experience completing fuel system design, startup, and commissioning of facility improvements. Demonstrated experience in the preparation of construction specifications and drawings. Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe is required. A valid driver's license is required. A valid passport will be required. Ability to access military installations is required. Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as required. Ability and willingness to travel to project sites in the US and internationally. Approximately 10% overnight travel.
