Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Location: Hybrid (1-2 days / week on-site)
Salary: $150k-$200k
Requirements: 8+ years as a Mechanical Engineer + PE + Mission Critical Experience

This is a full time/permanent position with a well established nationwide Engineering/Architecture firm.

Due to consistent growth, they are currently hiring for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This person will be responsible for the design and technical systems of large / complex projects from schematics through construction.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Develop system concepts and manage documentation from schematics to construction administration within the discipline.
  • Lead large, complex projects as the Discipline Team Leader when assigned.
  • Supervise and guide project team members within the discipline.
  • Create and track project status reports.
  • Conduct and document necessary code research for the project.
  • Contribute to the development of the project cost model and ensure design adherence.
  • Maintain the Mechanical Basis of Design Journal throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform material and product research as needed for project development.
  • Attend project meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with other Discipline Team Leaders.
  • Address client questions and requests within 24 hours.
  • Review and interpret documents and submittals during bidding and construction administration.
  • Ensure the production of quality architectural and engineering services within a project team framework.

What You Need for this Position
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar Mechanical engineering position
  • PE (Professional Engineer)
  • In depth mission critical experience
  • Must be located in any of the following areas: Addison TX, Boston MA, Chicago IL, Denver CO, Los Angeles CA, Royal Oak MI, Sacramento CA, San Diego CA, San Francisco CA
  • LEED Accredited preferred
  • Understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines
  • Experience in the A/E industry is preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
