Mechanical Engineer - Facilities in the

Wilton, CT!Salary: $105,000 - $130,000+ bonus

Location: Wilton, CT (relocation assistance available)
Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems such as HVAC, DI water systems, chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and maintaining critical facilities infrastructure.
- Develop and refine preventative and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
- Design and optimize fluid and gas distribution systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Lead and execute mechanical engineering projects, including expansions, upgrades, and installations.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards, supporting sustainability initiatives.
- Assess system capacities, conduct risk assessments, and plan for future growth to meet operational needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of system designs, maintenance activities, and project updates.
- Monitor system performance metrics, recommending and implementing upgrades or modifications as needed.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering, focusing on mechanical systems in high-tech or manufacturing environments.
- Strong expertise in HVAC, DI water systems, chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of gas and liquid distribution systems, including piping, valves, and control mechanisms.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, ASHRAE).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in high-tech manufacturing, such as semiconductor or pharmaceutical industries.
