Position Description

The Aftermarket Engineer Mechanical Engineering Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of highly skilled engineering staff while ensuring that company objectives and goals are met. This position manages the teams' schedules and resources to ensure group success while achieving internal and external deadlines.
  • 5-10% travel required

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage multi-disciplinary team including Project Manager-Engineer, Aftermarket Engineers, and Repair Engineers. Manage engineering resource availability to meet customer and internal deadlines.
  • Ensure timely execution of milestones with a continued emphasis towards lead time reduction and engineering change reduction.
  • Facilitate communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Provide technical direction/consultation to Aftermarket Engineering Team to improve quote accuracy and win new business.
  • Oversees the quoting and project execution of engineered solutions orders ranging from few thousand to multi-million-dollar.
  • Arrange engineering support to field service for technical troubleshooting when needed.
  • Coordinate with internal customers (Project Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly and Test) to create clean order releases with limited quality errors.
  • Evaluate engineering quality data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in customer meetings to support negotiations, requirement definitions, troubleshooting, and project execution.

Skills & Abilities
  • Will have supervisory experience in engineering or project management.
  • Will be capable of quick decision making related to engineering processes and rotating equipment optimization.
  • Will have knowledge of API standards
  • Will have strong attention to detail, and a high degree of focus on subordinate and customer satisfaction.
  • Will have strong communication skills and confidence in representing Sundyne in communications with customers.
  • Will be capable of supporting multiple project configurations and customers at a time
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to actively manage competing priorities and proven record to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to breakdown complex issues into simple components.
  • International work experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 5+ years in an engineering and/or technical fluid handling position
  • 1+ years in technical leadership/supervision

Compensation Details
Annual Salary: $92,500.00 - $120,000.00
