OverviewVTG is seeking a
Staff I/II Mechanical Engineer in Manassas, VA, to provide leadership in the execution of Undersea Programs through leading the effort to design and sustain hardware systems leveraging COTS technologies. This position is a
hybrid position with remote work options and flexible schedules.

- Under the supervision of a senior engineer, or Program Manager, lead the design aspects of integrating electronic systems housed in submarine cabinets;
- Work within a team to develop the supporting documentation and drawing package for individual units that supports their procurement, development and assembly;
- Provide mentoring, tasking and direction to junior personnel;
- Work with customer to provide program updates and address resolutions;
- Provide leadership in the generation of design package and package artifacts.
Do you have what it takes?Required Qualifications/Skills/Abilities: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- 5 years Cabinet hardware design/modeling experience using SolidWorks;
- US Citizen with current Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance;
- Successful completion of background check.
Desired Qualifications/Skills/Abilities: - 7-9 years Maritime cabinet hardware design experience;
- Acoustic or Power systems experience a plus;
- Navy experience.
