Job Overview: As a Lead Electrical Engineer for product development at L3Harris you will spearhead electrical design and development initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives and technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical engineering efforts development programs, from concept through to prototype development and testing.
  • Design and simulate complex electrical systems, components, and circuits for cutting-edge applications.
  • Oversee the development of schematics and electrical component selection, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems with other project elements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior electrical engineers and team members.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to meet goals and deliverables.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new technologies or design approaches.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and reports.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in electrical engineering and related fields.
  • Present project progress and findings to stakeholders and at technical conferences as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience in electrical engineering supporting the development of products
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital and analog circuit design, simulation, and testing.
  • Proficient with EDA tools for schematic capture.
  • Experience with embedded systems design and microcontroller integration.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in electrical engineering.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience leading development programs.
  • Familiarity with RF design, power electronics, or control systems is a plus.
  • Experience with simulation software (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Active participation in the engineering community, including publications, patents, or conference presentations.
