Electrical Engineer
Location : Mississauga, ON
Hours: Monday- Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm

TDG Transit Design Group is seeking an organized individual with strong attention to detail to design intricate embedded hardware PCBs. Qualified candidates will have 10-15 years of electronic design experience.
General Duties
- Design of Electronic circuits
- Validate design concept with simulation software
- Capture schematic
- Layout PCB assembly
- Build prototype PCBs using PCB milling/routing equipment to validate hardware
- Analyze and troubleshoot analog circuits
- Write software programs for microcontrollers
- Manage, troubleshoot EMI qualification tests
- Maintain documentation pertaining to PCBs and software
- International travel to various TDG and customer sites may be required
Required Experience
- Industry experience in electronic design and engineering
- Proficiency with computer aided design software (Altium preferred)
- Proficiency with spice simulation software
- SMPS design
- Excellent understanding of PCB layout techniques
- Design experience with microcontrollers
- Excellent communications skills. Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
Desired Experience
- Proficiency with Altium Designer
- Proficiency with Solidworks
- LED circuit design experience
- Ethernet hardware experience
- Familiarity with Ethernet protocols
Education
- University degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent post-secondary education
- Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and member in good standing or eligible to register as a member of PEO;
