Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

Our York, PA team is looking for a mid-senior level Mechanical Engineer with experience in infrastructure design or MEP/building design. Ideal candidate has management experience or ready to lead their own team. PE license is highly preferred.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Design mechanical systems for large central cooling and heating plants, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, large bore piping, and control systems
  • Perform engineering calculations such as heat and mass balance, code compliance analysis, hydraulic modeling, energy analysis, and pipe stress analysis
  • Provide technical direction, guidance, and mentorship to team members, including mechanical engineers and designers
  • Take initiative in completing design and analysis tasks for project submission packages, which include drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and design narratives
  • Collaborate with project managers, team members, other disciplines, and external consultants to address design coordination and issues
  • Participate in construction administration by attending meetings, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and documenting progress

Requirements:
  • Possess strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer with over 7 years of experience in engineering design and construction administration
  • Proficient in designing using Autodesk Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Experienced in conducting fieldwork and documenting existing engineering conditions

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with institutional infrastructure systems
  • Experience with ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code
