Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering , 10+ years experience in analog and digital circuit design
  • Strong background in plasma technology and high voltage devices
  • Experience with automated metrology, inspection, or diagnostic systems used in thin-film deposition for semiconductor, photovoltaic, disk drives, optical coating, display industries - specifically in the development of sensors for metrology
  • Proficiency in Python, C, MATLAB for system modeling
  • Expertise in high-voltage systems design and safety protocols
  • Strong background in precision measurement and instrumentation
  • Proficiency in PCB design and layout tools
  • Experience with embedded systems and firmware development
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI mitigation techniques
  • Understanding of plasma physics principles (preferred)
  • Experience with thermal measurement systems
  • Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems
  • Knowledge of safety standards (UL, CE, FCC)
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent documentation and communication abilities


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement high-voltage power supplies and control systems for plasma generation
  • Develop precision measurement circuits for electrical and thermal sensing
  • Create EMI/RFI shielding solutions and signal conditioning systems
  • Design PCB layouts and embedded firmware for system control
  • Integrate sensors and control systems for plasma-material interaction monitoring
  • Develop and execute calibration procedures and system validation tests
  • Create technical documentation including schematics, test procedures, and design specifications
  • Collaborate with physicists and materials scientists on system optimization
  • Support customer integration efforts and field testing
  • Lead prototype development and testing iterations
  • Interface with manufacturers and suppliers for component sourcing
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
