Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an incredible opportunity to work with a leading engineering firm, focusing on large commercial projects. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in commercial electrical system design and commercial construction. This role requires a deep understanding of NEC and NFPA standards, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a comprehensive knowledge of building codes.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Designing, developing, and testing all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
2. Applying knowledge of electricity and materials in the design of large commercial projects.
3. Leading the planning, design and oversight of building systems for commercial construction projects.
4. Ensuring that all electrical systems designed and built comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
5. Utilizing AutoCAD to design electrical systems and layouts.
6. Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure system-wide integration of electrical systems with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and architectural elements.
7. Conducting field inspections and observations to ensure compliance with design and code requirements.
8. Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
9. Preparing and presenting design reviews to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction.
3. At least 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
4. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.
5. Proven experience with large commercial projects and commercial electrical system design.
6. Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards.
7. Proficiency in AutoCAD.
8. In-depth understanding and knowledge of building codes.
9. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
10. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
11. Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
